Although the lodge’s rainforest setting, in itself, provides an abundance of attractions for those that enjoy nature, it is also ideally located for some of Belize’s other adventures like visiting Mayan ruins, zip lining the forest’s canopy or cave tubing. Among one of the more popular tours is the one to ATM (Actun Tunichil Munkal Cave).
This is a tour that combines a jungle trek and caving to experience the Maya underworld and although it is the favorite tour in western Belize, due to Pook’s Hill Lodge location, its guests are the first to reach the Cathedral Chamber and are able to therefore see it in all its glory.
As well as being recognized by ornithologists as being in a league of its own, the lodge is also perfectly located for all the major and most popular tours in western Belize’s rainforests and Mayan Mountains.
