Chabil Mar is Maya for “Beautiful Sea” and the Chabil Mar Villas are located on 400 feet of sand looking onto the beautiful Caribbean Sea. This luxury, barefoot resort is the nearest full service resort to the village of Placencia on the magnificent Placencia Peninsula on the southern coast of Belize in Central America.
The Belize coastline is home to the second largest barrier reef in the world and so Placencia is ideally located for diving or snorkeling the reef and the sea offers some great opportunities for fishing. Being on the mainland though, makes for easy access to the many activities and adventures that that has to offer, with its mountains and rainforests.
All the accommodations available are villas and all are spacious and luxurious. The choices available are Luxury Partial Seaview Villa Suites, Luxury Seaview Villa Suites, Luxury Seafront Villa Suites, Luxury Seafront Villa Suite (larger) and Luxury Honeymoon Suite. All the villas have 1000 square feet of living area, air conditioning, Free Wireless Internet, Washer and Dryer, fully equipped Kitchens, Flat Screen TV and private veranda facing the Caribbean.
Food & Dining
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served between 7:00AM to 9:00PM daily but you can choose to eat in the Al-Fresco style dining area of the Kaleidoscope Bar & Lounge, the Cafe Mar Beachside, on the Pier under the stars, or on your veranda. The staff will also willingly cook whatever you may catch whilst fishing.
The resorts amenities include 400 feet of beach, two Infinity Pools, complimentary use of Bicycles, Paddle Boards and Kayaks, private pier, full concierge services, lush tropical landscaping and golf cart rental.
Staff & Service
Guests say that the staff greet them as friends but feel more like family by the time they leave. They will willingly assist you in organizing any and all the activities you wish to partake in or, serve your every need as you relax in the sun or shade by the pool or on the beach.
As well as fishing or snorkeling on or near the reef, the coast of Belize provides some excellent scuba diving opportunities that include the world famous Blue hole, Glover’s Reef, the World Famous Gladden Spit, South Water Caye and Laughing Bird Caye National Park. There are many other attractions easily accessible on the mainland and can include exploring ancient caves, perhaps cave tubing or zip lining through the magnificent rainforests. Not forgetting of course the many Mayan ruins that can be visited.
There is also a free shuttle service from the resort to Placencia Village in the evenings so you can enjoy some of the sights and sounds of traditional Belize at its most natural.
