With 250 feet of sandy beach for the Caribbean Sea to ripple onto and 2.5 acres of gardens to enjoy, Caribbean Villas Hotel provides an excellent stepping stone to adventure. Located on Ambergris Caye, the largest of the low lying islands on or skirting Belize’s reef which is the second largest in the world, this hotel is situated just a 10 minute walk from the island’s main town of San Pedro. Although being just 10 minutes from the island’s night life, the hotel affords you the seclusion and privacy many prefer. Within easy reach of the town also means that you have easy access to the airport, opening up all the adventures that the mainland has to offer.
There are three different types of lofted suites to choose from but all of them have Ceiling Fans throughout the suite and air conditioning in the master bedroom. The suits have flat screen TV with a choice from 120 channels and a 20’ veranda. All the suites also have a dining and living room area and a fully equipped kitchen and two bedrooms, one in the loft. The Hawk’s Roost Suite sleeps 5 and has an upper level loft with twin beds that overlooks the downstairs sleeping area. The Pelican’s Perch Suite sleeps 6 and has an upper level loft that has a Queen Bed, twin beds and an additional bathroom. The Eagle’s Nest Suite sleeps 5 and has the master bedroom in the second level loft, complete with bathroom and balcony.
Food & Dining
Located right on the beach is the hotel’s restaurant the AMBER Beach Bar & Grill which will serve you excellent food and drinks all day long but is especially known throughout the island for its Sunday BBQs.
The hotel has 250 feet of beach, a 300 foot private dock ideal for snorkelling from, 2 Freshwater Swimming Pools and a dive shop plus is home to the Belize Sailing School and Sailing Club.
Staff & Service
Among the friendly and competent staff is their award winning bartenders that ensure that everybody’s stays are memorable ones.
Among the many activities that can participate in from this hotel are fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, sailing and diving or for the less energetic, there is paddle boarding, manatee watching or a booze cruise.
For those that prefer their adventures on dry land, trips to the mainland can be arranged to go cave tubing, zip lining or visiting one of the many Mayan ruins located in Belize. There is also a great assortment of restaurants and night life in San Pedro and golf carts, which are the island’s preferred method of transportation, are available for rent if you don’t feel like walking.
Although this hotel has a policy of 7 night’s minimum stay during the high season, this is reduced to 3 night’s minimum in the off season.
