Belize is known as ‘The Jewel’ because of the natural beauty of its tropical rainforests and Mayan Mountains on the mainland and the Caribbean Sea and the world’s second largest barrier reef and being located on Ambergris Caye, close to San Pedro, is perhaps the best place to find easy access to all of it; the world class diving, snorkeling and fishing provided by the reef and the sea and the jungle treks, Mayan ruins, zip lining and cave tubing provided by the mainland.
Although the town of San Pedro with its variety of shops, restaurant and night life, is only 10 minutes away by water taxi, many guests opt to rent one of the island’s preferred modes of transport; the golf cart. Available for rent either by the hour or the day, this unique transport is ideal for getting you around the whole island, ensuring that you miss none of the island’s secrets.
