The Beaches and Dreams Resort is located in Hopkins, a Garifuna Fishing Village located just south of Dangriga in the centre of Belize’s beautiful coastline which hosts the world’s second largest barrier reef. The resort offers some cosy and tastefully furnished accommodations which, just 75 feet from the Caribbean Sea, offer some great views and its location at the centre of the coastline affords the opportunity to easily experience all that Belize has to offer.
Hopkins central location in Belize means that not only is the Caribbean Sea and all the Cayes (Islands) along the reef are easily accessible but so are the rainforest adventures including those in the Maya Mountains in the west. As Mayan ruins have been found throughout the country, many of these are also easily accessible from Hopkins.
The choice of rooms for your stay at the Beaches and Dreams Resort include Beachfront Cabanas, Scarlet Macaw & Garden Haven rooms in the Boutique style hotel or Beachfront Treehouse. Although to allow for your full relaxation these rooms, apart from those in the hotel which have TVs, do not have TV or phones, they all have free Wi-Fi access.
Food & Dinning
The Beaches and Dreams is home to the Barracuda Bar & Grill, one of the finest restaurants in Belize and known for its meals which although made with ingredients from the Caribbean, are made with a touch of Mediterranean flair, combing the best of two worlds.
Apart from the world class restaurant the hotel also features a pool and a rooftop deck for either experiencing some great views or for just relaxing in the sun. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Butterflies Spa where an assortment of facials, massages and wraps can be provided.
Staff & Service
The staffs at the Beaches and Dreams offer services with the same enthusiasm as the owners Angela and Tony Marsico share after having gained experience in the hospitality business from their world class establishment in Alaska.
With the Caribbean Sea just feet away there are lots of opportunities for experiencing the beauties that the Barrier Reef provides including Glover’s Reef Atoll and many other islands including Tobbacco Caye and Turneffe Island. Going inland there are many other unique attractions that the jungles and rainforests can provide.
One of the experiences not to be missed whilst staying in Hopkins Village is the weekly entertainment provided by the Garifuna Drummers, a very unique display of drumming and traditional dancing.
