The Amber Sunset Jungle Resort is tucked away in 28 acres of private forest in the tropical rainforests, high on the hills above the town of Unitedville in the Cayo District of Belize. From this unique vantage point in the treetops, the resort allows guests to get glimpses of wildlife and spot birds against an exotic backdrop of colorful flowers.
The location also allows for viewing fantastic sunrises and sunsets but is not so remote as to prohibit tours to some of the other attractions that the beautiful country of Belize has to offer.
Alternatively you could combine a stay in the jungle with one on the beach with the Jungle and Sea Vacation Package which includes 3 or 4 nights at the jungle resort with 3 or 4 nights at the Chabil Mar Villas in beautiful Placencia, 2 tours from Amber Sunset Resort and 2 tours in Placencia plus 2 days Golf cart rental in Placencia for $2711 per person.
Located inland in Belize, this resort affords easy access to jungle treks, cave tubing, zip lining and other adventures associated with the mountains and rainforests in the west of Belize.
There are two size rooms available and both are luxuriously furnished and have ceiling fans, Wi-Fi and screened lounges. The Jungle tree houses can accommodate 2 people whilst the Jungle Family Tree Houses can accommodate up to 6 people.
Food & Dinning
The resort’s Jungle Pot Restaurant is located high on a hill and its garden terrace dining area allows for some great views whilst eating and the pub style furniture inside also allows for relaxation whilst taking a cocktail.
The Amber Sunset Jungle Resort features an outdoor stone tub where you can relax under the stars after a hard day’s exploring. It also has the Wild Things Bar and Pool where you can cool off during the day or, alternatively you could take a short hike to the resort’s Little Barton Creek for a swim in the cool natural waters. The resort also boasts some nature trails which provide some nice guided tours.
Staff & Service
With true Belizean hospitality, the staffs ensure you get personal attention so that you can fully enjoy what Belize, known as “The Jewel” has to offer.
Local attractions include the Mennonite community at Spanish Lookout, the Belize Zoo, ancient caves, Mayan Ruins and adventures like zip lining or cave tubing. Mountain Pine Ridge is also nearby where the oldest rock formations in Central America provide gorges, rolling hills, pools and spectacular waterfalls including the highest waterfall in Central America.
Although a tour of Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) cave is one of the most memorable tours you may ever take as it is considered to be the entrance to the Maya underworld, no cameras or other recording devices are permitted.
